Sunday School starts each Sunday at 10am, concurrent with our worship service and runs September through June each year.  All children from kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to join at any time throughout the school year.

Our program focuses on how each child can make a contribution to their faith, their church, their community and the world. We study through activities, songs, and discussion. On every third Sunday, the children lead worship by lighting the candles, ringing the bell, calling the congregation to worship, and singing a short, lively musical offering.

Our lessons are bible-based and often follow our pastor's sermons so the children receive the same message as the adults. Our curriculum is grounded in social justice, lifting up the teachings of the bible, offering alternatives to world views that emphasize power and accumulation of wealth, and helping those in need - in our local community and around the world.

The children also participate in and make important decisions about an outreach project for the year. This year their efforts will be focused on feeding the hungry in our area. Each child will be encouraged to bring one non-perishable food item to Sunday School and think about how their whole family might help with this effort.

Although we encourage parents to participate in worship and church life while their children are enrolled in Sunday School, it is not required. If you can make arrangements for your child (children) to attend with another family attending worship, you may send them along.
